My name is Katie Haley. I was born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, which is a northwest suburb of Chicago. I am a current junior at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Art practices and minoring in Creative Technology and Design as well as Business. Ever since I was a little girl my creativity fueled my mind and sparked my love for art. For as long as I can remember every Sunday in my house my three siblings and I would sit around our big arts and crafts table and create art with my dad, who was also an art major in college. He would teach us how to paint, draw with pencils, work with pastels, and even do some photo editing. My family art classes sparked a light in me, inspiring me to create a love for and an amazing relationship with art. I love having the freedom to create anything I want with whatever materials I choose. I personally really enjoy photography, digital art, and mixed media art that combines my photography with painting and drawing. I am a very adventurous person who takes photos almost everywhere I go. I love capturing the moment through my camera lens, expressing the way I see the world.
